  Flew in from the Turks and Caicos Islands, landed at Fort Pierce Airport for Customs processing. Knew I might be late and called the customs office and explained. Call again in the air noting we might be late. Landed at 5:45 PM, office closed at 6:00 PM. Customs officers were very polite and efficient and processed the 4 passengers quickly. One officer also explained about planning arrival with customs to allow for more time for processing. I know the officers wanted to go home at quitting time, and they didn't miss it by much. I was just impressed with their professional and polite manner, even though "chewing us out" as it may be. Just a nice bunch of guys.
